Yes. We handle home lockouts every day. We come to your address, confirm you live there and work to get you back inside quickly. When possible, we use methods that do not damage the door or lock.
You can learn more about this service on our Home Lockout page.
Our first choice is always a method that avoids damage. Many locks can be opened cleanly. If the lock is broken, has been tampered with or is a certain type of high security lock, drilling or replacement may be the only option. If that is the case, we explain it and talk about the cost before doing anything.
For repair and replacement options, see our Lock Repair and Replacement page.
Yes. We need to make sure we are letting in the right person. We usually ask for a driver’s license or state ID and sometimes a lease, deed or bill with the address. If your ID is inside, we work with you to confirm you belong there in other ways.
Yes. We often help tenants. We still need to confirm you are allowed to be there, which can mean checking your ID, a lease or contacting the landlord or property manager. If the building has rules about locks, we will follow them.
Rekeying keeps the same lock body on the door but changes the internal pins so the old keys no longer work and new keys are required. Changing a lock means removing the old lock and installing a new one. Rekeying is usually cheaper when the existing lock is still in good shape. Replacement makes sense when the lock is worn, damaged, poor quality or you want a different style or higher security.
More details are on our Rekey vs Lock Change page.
Rekeying is a smart move when you move into a new place, after a tenant moves out, after a breakup, when keys go missing or whenever you do not know who might still have a key. It gives you new keys and control without changing all the hardware.
See our Lock Rekeying service for more.
Consider replacement when locks do not work smoothly, show damage, are very old or flimsy, or when you want to upgrade to better hardware or a smart lock. It is also worth doing when you are already changing out doors or trim and want everything to match.
You can see upgrade options on our Lock Installation and Upgrades page.
In many cases yes. If the locks are compatible, we can rekey them so one key works for several doors. If some locks are not compatible, we can discuss options for replacing them so you end up with a simpler setup.
This is part of our Keying and Master Key services.

Good smart locks use solid hardware and are installed with strong deadbolts and strike plates. Like any connected device, they should be set up with good passwords and updated when needed. We can talk through the pros and cons for your home so you know what you are getting.
We go into more detail on our Home Security Upgrades page.
Yes. We can walk through your entry points and point out simple changes that improve security, such as stronger deadbolts, better strike plates, reinforcing frames, securing sliding doors, using keypads on certain doors and controlling who has which keys.

In many cases yes. We can often come to your vehicle, unlock it if needed and then create and program a new key or fob. This often avoids the cost and hassle of towing the car to a dealer.
See our Lost Car Key Replacement page for details.
We work with many push to start systems and can often program new smart keys and fobs. Not every model is supported in every situation, but if you tell us the year, make and model, we can usually tell you what is possible.
You can check your vehicle type on our Smart Key and Fob page.
We can usually remove broken keys from ignitions and door locks and then cut a new key to replace the damaged one. If the ignition or lock is worn out, we can talk about repair or replacement.
This service is listed on our Ignition Repair and Key Extraction page.
The VIN is one piece of information we may use, but by itself it is not enough. Modern keys also need to be cut correctly and programmed to the car. That means we still need access to the vehicle to finish the job.

See our Master Key Systems page.

Yes. We work on many types of home and office safes. The method depends on the safe and the problem. Sometimes we can open it without any real damage. Other times drilling or part replacement is needed. We explain what we expect to do and what it will cost before we begin.
More information is on our Safe Opening page.
Not always. Some safes can be opened and then repaired so you can keep using them. Others may need a new lock or some minor work. We tell you what to expect before we start so you can decide.

These questions cover key cutting, duplication and how we handle your keys. You can also check our Services page.
Often yes. We can remove the lock, read the internal parts or impression a new key and then cut it. It depends on the type of lock, but in many cases it is possible.
This is part of our Key Cutting and Originating services.
No. We do not keep personal key copies. Once we cut keys for you and hand them over, they are yours. If you are on a restricted key system, there may be a controlled process to get more keys in the future, and that is explained in advance.
You can read more under Key Control and Security.
It depends on the key system and any rules tied to it. Some keys with that wording are basic keys where the message is more of a request than a rule. Others are part of a restricted system where extra keys can only be made with proper authorization. We will look at the key and tell you what is possible.
If you are unsure, contact us through the Contact page, and we can advise.

These answers cover what to expect before and after the job.
Yes. New locks and hardware usually come with a manufacturer warranty, and we back our labor for a set period. If something does not seem right after a job, contact us, and we will make it right.
Once a technician has come to your location, the service call fee still applies because time and travel have been used. If you decide not to move forward with the full job, we will be clear about what you owe and why.
We can usually give you a starting price or a price range based on what you describe. The final price is confirmed once the technician sees the actual lock, door, vehicle or safe, because small details can change the work. We keep things as close to the quote as possible.
We accept cash and major debit and credit cards. If you prefer something like Zelle or another method, ask when you call and we will let you know if it is available on your job. Payment is due once the work is finished.
Make sure your phone’s ringer is on so the technician can reach you, clear any clutter around the door or lock we will be working on and, if you live in a building with security or a gate, let them know we are coming so we can get in quickly.
You can also confirm details ahead of time on our Contact page.
